I think slowing down and taking care of ourselves before the holiday season is really important and this is a great chance to get people into the gym before their schedules distract them elsewhere.

Chakra Yoga
An introduction to the energy centers in the body and how that can be utilized for improved physical and mental wellness. Yoga is a union of our bodies and minds. The chakras are energetic wheels in the body. At certain times in our lives, they may spin too slow, or too fast. For our optimal wellness, we can practice our yoga (postures, breath work, and meditations) in a way to keep our energy flowing steady. This workshop will be a mixture of lecture, self-reflection, and practice. Please being a notebook. It provides another way for students to strengthen their yoga practice.

Intro to Props: Supporting Your Yoga Practice
Learn to use the props available in the yoga room to support the challenges in your practice for increased benefit. Blocks, straps, blankets – ascend’s yoga room is packed with resources to support your practice but how many of them have you ever used ? Props can be a great way to support your practice if your experiencing resistance in the body or healing injuries. They can also be a great way to go deeper and find new support for your alignment goals. This session will focus on each type of resource available in our yoga room and a variety of frequently practiced poses so that you are confident in any of our yoga classes incorporating the tools the best support your practice. This is a great way to experiment with your practice and utilize your studio’s tools!
